Pop-Up Gallery!

The reputation of Woodstock, VT as historically being a community that embraces and promotes the arts has been reinforced by the addition of Pop-Up Gallery! Located in the same space as a popular photography gallery all the way back in the 1870’s, this latest addition to the village’s several galleries features a rotating selection of work by artists both near and far.

When local artist and “Woodstock Town Smiler”, Adrian Tans, was approached by the new owner of 19 Central St with an offer to use the space for gallery space to play with before finding a long term tenant, he was overjoyed at the opportunity to stoke up his own art practice and engagement with the arts community in the region. Also, it’s so much warmer than the outdoor chalkboard Tans has gotten used to as a canvas over the past few years! He plans to use his time while at the gallery in front of his easel situated by the remarkably tall windows with their north facing light! Stop by and have a look at what Tans is working on now.
